Overview
These Terms of Service govern your use of bcstech.info and the tools and resources hosted on it (the "Site"). The Site is operated by the Boone County Schools Technology Department ("BCS Tech," "we," "us") for use by district staff.
By accessing the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Who may use this site
The Site is intended for:
- Active employees of Boone County Schools, including teachers, administrators, and support staff
- School Technology Coordinators (STCs) and IT Department staff
- Authorized substitutes and contractors with a valid district account
Access is granted using your Boone County Schools Google Workspace account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your account or allow others to access the Site using your credentials.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Site only for legitimate district technology support purposes. You may not:
- Use the Site to access, collect, or share student personally identifiable information (PII)
- Attempt to circumvent access controls, security features, or role-based restrictions
- Use the Site for commercial purposes or personal gain
- Submit false or misleading information in support tickets or knowledge base content
- Interfere with the operation of the Site or its underlying systems
- Use automated tools to scrape, index, or extract content without written permission
Content
Knowledge base articles, guides, and other content on this Site are provided for internal use by district staff. Content may not be reproduced, distributed, or published externally without written permission from the Boone County Schools Technology Department.
We strive to keep content accurate, but we make no guarantees. Technology configurations and procedures change — always verify critical steps with the IT department before making system-wide changes.
Submitted content
When you submit a support ticket or provide feedback, you grant BCS Tech a non-exclusive right to use that information to improve services and documentation. Do not include sensitive student data, passwords, or confidential personnel information in ticket submissions.
Privacy
Our collection and use of your information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
Availability and modifications
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site or any feature at any time without notice. We are not liable for any disruption to your access. The Site is a convenience tool — it does not replace official district IT support channels.
Limitation of liability
The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boone County Schools and the Technology Department are not liable for any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Site, including any loss of data or service disruption.
District policies
Use of this Site is subject to all applicable Boone County Schools board policies, including the Acceptable Use Policy for Technology. These Terms supplement, but do not replace, district policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
